Fireplace Accessories Herschel Thermostat Controls
All Herschel XLS Panels , Herschel XLS Mirrors and Herschel Towel Heater Panels are equipped with an in-built SMART-R XLS receiver on the rear of the panel. This allows the XLS panel to pair wirelessly (via RF) with the XLS controller (purchased separately) and receive commands to turn on or off according to the room temperature and program.
These controllers are not essential, however they are highly recommended to ensure you can take advantage of all the features these panels offer.
There are 3 XLS thermostat controllers to choose from:
T-BT is a battery operated thermostat and requires no wiring. It can be mounted flush onto a wall or freestanding using the supplied stand. Wi-Fi and App control is not possible with T-BT.
There are 2 Wi-Fi and App controller options: T-MT and T-PL. Wi-Fi and App control is via the ‘Smart Life’ App and voice control will be possible via Google Assistant and Alexa.
T-MT is similar to T-BT but has the added benefit of Wi-Fi and App control. It can be mains-powered and wall mounted (requires recessing into wall) or can be freestanding and powered by a micro USB.
T-PL is a simple to use thermostat control which plugs directly into a mains socket. These are perfect for retrofits and portable heating solutions. This option allows Wi-Fi and App control.
Each controller can be paired to and control multiple SMART-R enabled heaters. We advise one controller per room (and maybe more in larger spaces).
